Ingersoll-Rand revenue rises 9.8 percent
Ingersoll-Rand plc reported revenues of $4.0 billion for its third quarter, a 9.8 percent increase from the same period last year.
Net earnings of $515 million, or $2.06 per diluted share, compared to earnings of $367 million, or $1.43, in last year's third quarter.
Industrial segment revenues of $792 million increased by 8 percent, which included approximately 1 percentage point of growth from acquisitions offset by approximately 2 percentage points negative foreign exchange impact.
