Fastenal: October sales relatively flat
Fastenal said its October sales of $488.2 million were down 0.4 percent from $490.1 million in October of last year.
Daily sales of $22.2 million were up 4.1 percent from $21.3 million in October 2019. There were 22 business days in October this year compared to 23 days last year.
Sales to manufacturing customers declined by 0.1 percent during the month, while sales to non-residential construction customers fell by 9.9 percent.
The company continues to benefit from the sale of safety related products, which increased by 32 percent during October. Sales of fasteners declined by 4.7 percent.
