Airgas opens Nevada facility
Airgas officially opened its newest distribution center in Henderson, Nevada, on December 6 with a ribbon-cutting event.
The 224,000-square-foot facility joins five other geographically-optimized welding and safety hardgoods distribution centers throughout the U.S., with each center holding over 19,000 items in stock and reaching 95% of the U.S. population within two days. Located near Las Vegas, the Henderson distribution center provides more room for expansion after relocating from California and supplies efficient shipping to customers and branches in the western U.S.
The Henderson location currently employs 35 associates along with 20 Total Access® telesales associates, who are an extensively trained sales force that serves customers via telephone-based and in-person based relationships. This new facility, which adds to a network of over 1,400 locations nationwide, is expected to grow to 66 jobs within five years.
