meviy expands machining capabilities with four new CNC milling materials
meviy, an on-demand custom parts manufacturing service developed by MISUMI Group Inc. announced immediate availability of four new CNC machining materials for CNC milling, giving engineers greater flexibility, improved performance, and expanded design possibilities.
The new lineup includes three tool steels: SK105, O1, and DC53, with optional heat treatments, along with 316L stainless steel, a material widely used in environments requiring high corrosion resistance and clean, uncontaminated surfaces.
These additions significantly enhance the CNC milling material portfolio and support components such as chuck jaws, locators, conveyor equipment for receiving workpieces, manifolds, base plates, and holders, helping engineers better match CNC machining materials to their application requirements.
With this expansion, engineers can avoid relying on substitute materials and instead select the most suitable CNC machining materials and surface treatments directly through meviy.
Automated quoting is now available for all four materials within a size range of 400 × 300 × 70 mm.

In addition to the new CNC milling materials, meviy has expanded its automatic quoting capabilities to include several copper and brass materials. These metals are valued for electrical and thermal conductivity, clean appearance, and strong machinability, making them ideal for electrical components, thermal transfer applications, and decorative parts.
