Honeywell 's warehouse execution software on the cloud
Honeywell announced its warehouse execution software (WES) is now available as a cloud-based platform, providing a more scalable, flexible and cost-effective solution for distribution and fulfillment operations.
WES is a critical component to warehouse automation that orchestrates multiple processes within the warehouse in real-time, from picking and routing to order management and capacity planning. It helps ensure that workers in the facility are completing the most optimal work at any given time. By collecting data from various technologies across the warehouse—such as robots, scanners and machine control—and collating it into dashboards and metrics, the platform enables better decision-making by warehouse operators.
As a cloud-based platform, WES brings further benefits to warehouses and distribution centers that extend beyond traditional on-premise software. These advantages include reduced upfront IT infrastructure costs and easier processes for maintaining and adjusting the software based on evolving business needs as security patches and customized technology configurations can be deployed remotely. With built-in encryption and continuous monitoring, WES also enables businesses to proactively safeguard critical data and maintain compliance with evolving cybersecurity standards.

The platform can deliver even greater efficiency and value for businesses as they are able to access data and insights on labor, processes and equipment from across the warehouse operation to further optimize performance.
