Fixtureworks bolsters lineup of manual clamps with thrust clamp styles

Fixtureworks, a North American manufacturer and supplier of clamps, fixturing accessories, machine tool components and rollers and bumpers, has bolstered its array of manual-style fixture clamps.

Fixtureworks Thrust ClampsWith a variety of clamps, including swing, thrust, side toggle and pneumatic, these clamps are adaptable to different industrial applications and systems. They provide quick, secure, and precise workpiece workholding and are manufactured to the highest quality specifications.

Of the various manual clamps, thrust clamps are ideal to secure workpieces, especially those with difficult-to-access or recessed surfaces, by applying downward pressure. They are common in tool and fixtures, allowing for rapid clamping and quick workpiece removal by swiveling the clamp arm away. This enables secure and precise holding of components.

The manual clamp product mix includes QLRC light and heavy-duty horizontal thrust clamps that feature a clamping body and a clamping bar used together for a wide range of workholding solutions. Releasing the handle allows the clamping bar to be retracted for workpiece removal.

It has a tapped end so it can fit with a custom tip and can be cut shorter to the desired lengths. The clamping body and lever arm are made from 1045 alloy steel. The internal cam is made from hardened 4115 alloy steel with black oxide finish. The handle is black plastic. The housing lengths are 80 and 132 mm long, with 40 and 60 mm widths.

The product mix also include the QLRCF vertical light and heavy-duty thrust clamp. Like its counterpart, these thrust clamps also boasts similar features to the QLRC but in a vertical orientation. To clamp, simply push the bar through the center of the clamping body until contact is made with the workpiece. Final clamping is achieved by turning the handle which extends and clamps the bar for secure workholding. The clamping body and lever arm are also made from 1045 alloy steel, and the internal cam is made from hardened 4115 alloy steel with black oxide finish. The handle is black plastic. The vertically positioned housing lengths of the QLRCF are 68 and 90 mm. with base lengths of 57 and 85 mm.

The light-version thrust clamps boasts clamping force of 45 to 157 pounds, while the heavy-duty version of each boast clamping force of 112 to 315 pounds.

In addition to thrust clamps, Fixtureworks offers a lineup of manual clamps, shaft locking clamps other quick change pneumatic clamping fasteners, quick action spring plunger clamps, handle and levers, knobs and grips, equipment handles, handwheels and cranks, hinges and latches, leveling supports, industrial rubber bumpers, stops and wheels, fixturing clamps, clamping locating systems, work positioning elements, vises, grippers and mechanical linear actuators.
